At the 2026 Economic Summit presented by OCCU, we’ll look at where our economy stands today, how Eugene-Springfield compares with peer communities, and what we can learn from regions that have successfully grown and adapted. We’ll also look at what’s already changing—from efforts to strengthen Oregon’s business climate to emerging industries where our region has the potential to lead.
Keynote, Daniel Ryley, VP of Economic Development at Metro Denver EDC, will share how the Denver region has approached economic growth and the role regional collaboration has played in that work. With more than two decades of experience in economic development across Colorado, Ryley brings a valuable perspective on what it takes to move a region forward. His keynote offers an opportunity to look beyond our own region, explore a different approach to economic growth, and consider what lessons we can bring back to Lane County.
